villasound
YPG 635 I'm wondering if its possible to install a more powerful amplifier inside the keyboard so I can get a little more sound out of the stock speakers? I think it sounds wonderful but would just like a little more sound without external amps or speakers.
ITGITC
No. You'll need an external amplifier or powered speakers. Welcome to the forum. villasound
Well, I'm pretty happy with it the way it is for home use, which is why I bought it so I guess I should just play it and enjoy, right!? Thanks for the help and the welcome!
MoKen
Welcome. I have the 625. I sounds very good through the built-in speakers. It never sounds so good through any amplification I've found. Perhaps someone here can tell us why. Basically the built-in speakers are 1-way, stereo and they sound great. However any time I play through an amp or PA, the mids get really sharp. You can kind of EQ them out but it dulls the sound. I don't get it.
villasound
I hooked my Logitech 2300 computer speakers up to it and it sounds Much better... Lots more volume and the bass from the 8" sub really brings in the lows! For now this will work...

David Loving
Our guitarist has a predecessor to the 625 and I like the piano sound. It sounds good going through cubase and sounds good through my little monitor amp. "Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown."
villasound
So if I do decide to buy some external speakers/amplifiers or whatever.... What do I need to make a digital piano sound great? Not the top of the line but something with a reasonable price...maybe up to $400/$500 or so.
