Charles Triplett
Just bought a SWR redhead, great sounding amp. What 15" cabinet do I add to it. The book says I should add an 4 ohm cabinet, SWR says I should add the son of bertha that is an 8ohm amp. Does this make sense.
Big Daddy from Motown
You want a 8 ohm cabinet.
Mikey Irish
Definitely go with the 8ohm. A 1986 Crown Victoria ruined my sex life.
petergales
Take their advice and do not use anything less than an 8 ohm cabinet. Do not try to run your amp at 2 ohms (ie with another 4 ohm cab) or you could do serious damage to it. I ran a 4 ohm Goliath Junior extension cab with my Black Beauty combo because the book said I could. I fried the output transistors on the Black Beauty! I did not account for the fact that, in the UK, we have a 240 volt mains system. Be careful. Regards, Pete.
