JD-800 SysEx to JD-990?

I used to have a JD 800 years back and saved SysEx of my favorite patches. I now have a JD990 (supposedly a rack mount version of the JD800 with some additional features) but it doesn't take the SysEx files directly. Is there a conversion needed that anyone is aware of?

As you probably know, brother Bill - there's a few substantial differences between the 800 and the 990, including (but not limited to) 2 more MB of wave ROM, a four pole filter, a bunch of new modulation options (cross, ring, matrix), hard sync and the ability to pan inside a tone. It really is a different animal. If any conversion utility exists, I've never heard of it.

Love my 990, BTW. :thu:
