You know you've been on this forum too long when...

You start talking (writing) like Aidan. I find myself doing things like spelling words like behavior with a 'u' in it: e.g. behaviour... favour, colour, Men's Rooum. WTF?

You remember when you first read about Van Halen Keyboard Tab and how you had to pick yourself up off the floor from the fit of laughter.

You think that all B3 and Leslies used to be delivered in a canoe by movie stars.

You wonder if eric has been on the show "What Not To Wear"... and how he survived.

You buy your vehicles based on whether or not they will haul your 88-key boards.

You didn't used to, but now you worry about how you look on stage with that "X-Stand".

Playing gigs for free didn't used to bother you but just so much. Now they do because Kanker said they should.

You pay attention to what's in your CD player because someone will ask sooner or later.

You HATE red. You LOVE red. You HATE red. You LOVE red.

You thought you knew something about theory - until you asked the forumites and the thread ran over 3 pages.

You thought you knew something about women - until you asked the forumites and everybody chimed in with their opinion... and the thread ran over 10 pages.

Lots of guys like porn. But you're happiest with a copy of Sweetwater's latest gas-inducing issue of ProGear that includes color pictures and full descriptions of stuff that you want, but just haven't found a way to get it delivered to your door without your wife finding out... yet.

You thought it was OK to hold your wife's purse - until you found out that you could easily look like a tool.

Stereo is good. No, it's bad. Stereo is good. No, it's bad.

Some folks like to reharm... and can't stop. But it's cool - there's a thread for that. And it runs over 45 pages.

Sheep are cool.

Beer is good - but some people prefer it warm.

Finding a B3 in the garbage in NYC is like finding a lost puppy on your doorstep. You can't refuse.

Most keyboard amps are frowned upon, and you were right about BOSE.

There's that other forum... but not much is said about it here.

No matter how much you know about a subject, there is someone on this forum who knows more than you - or claims that they do.

The term 'sales engineer' is ambiguous and probably should go in the same box with 'army intelligence'.

Lots of folks enjoy sushi. BBQ can be good too. But there is still lots of debate regarding who makes the best Philly Cheese Steak sandwich.

One should never bend notes when playing a piano patch... or should they?

Stay tuned. I've got more...

I have a feeling that some of you do too.

you check the forum morning, noon and at night before going to sleep.

you start quoting and telling real people about folks here at KC.

you realize it's been 2 years since the first MAKCFH and attended it.

you have either hung out with and/or know the 'real names' of fellow forumites.

you play a diatonic tune and know that DH is laughing his a** off in the Netherworld, er, Netherlands.

you put dB on your X-mas list for a 6-pack of A shirts aka wife beater aka tank top t-shirts.

you know SK is one of the greatest living jazz pianists.

you think about producing the ITGITC? and BluesKeys show.

you know on a Saturday night Dan (80s-LZ) is probably wearing a gig wig.

you wonder whatever happened to Soundscape, Delirium and those regulars who just disappeared.

you miss Prague and DafDuc. RIP.

you are glad to see new regulars hanging out and contributing to the community. :thu::cool:

you know how many times tonysounds has owned a Nord Stage.

you know what an "Eric Moment" is.

you know that "dB" does not mean decibel.

you know that, even though we're musicians, we dig our sports as well.

you're oddly proud of yourself for having achieved "Hall of Fame" status.

you wonder what you did online before you found this place.

you think of how much better a keyboardist you could be if you took all the time you spend here and spent it practicing instead, but you just don't care.

you experience frequent bouts of GAS.

you have way too much knowledge about the keyboard gear available today.

everything made by Behringer has been crossed off your gear-acquisition list.

you know that even if you won't RTFM, some crazy Canadian not really named Sven is willing to do it for you.

you know that that same crazy Canadian not really named Sven is going to call you a lazy good-for-nothing because you didn't RTFM.

you wonder what happened to Delirium, but you don't miss him at all.

you are grateful that the signal-to-noise ratio here is much lower than on that "other forum."

You know before you read it a post by Tom/ITGITC will reference either sheep or beer. Or both.

Great thread. Many have been covered, but I'll add a few.

- You can never watch a vintage repeat of Battlestar Galactica or hear a vocoder without chuckling

- The movie Deliverance has a new meaning thanks to Markyboard and zeronyne

- Where the heck is zeronyne?

- Hanging out with forumites is great. I might have the most travel stories, all documented in this forum's archives. With pics, so it happened.

- You remember the former monikers of some forum members and some of the sh*t they used to stir up

- You know about all the fanboys and their counterpoint

- A Nord thread is not a Nord thread without a certain viewpoint

- You send text messages with more than one forum member you've not met in person, gabbing about gear

- You buy, sell, and trade gear with forum members on a regular basis

- You look forward to who you'll meet at NAMM next year

- You've been to NAMM dinners and hung with the forum (with pics)

Regards,

Eric

-You bring totally OT subjects to your KB brethren because you trust their advice.

-You anticipate an annual revival of the keyboard tab thread.

-You feel like as good as you think you know a piece of gear, Burningbusch has already used it and loaded his own samples into it and tweaked everything on it and edited it and knows what samples remain in that keyboard from 4 generations ago.

-You come here to talk sports

-You mentally picture other forumites enduring the respective stereotypical weather and living situation of their climate, thus DanS is always driving in the snow, ITGITC is driving through lush Carolina greenery, Dave Horne lives on a canal and Joe Muscara is always wearing a cowboy hat and wiping his brow at those dusty 110 degree temps.

-You wonder what the hell Jazz+ actually sounds like at the piano

-You freak out over the prospect of another Dave Horne drought ala 2008.

You know that totally OT threads are perefectly fine.

You trust strangers living far abroad more than your bandmates.

The KC is the most visited bookmark on your mobile phone's browser.

LOL - if only it were dusty. Houston is Gulf Coast swampy, not West Texas "dry heat."

And I don't have a cowboy hat, but I do have a nice pair of cowboy boots. Not to break your illusion or anything. :)

- You're jealous of the MA guys for their frequent get togethers, and wish your own area had more forumites so you could do your own. You are considering going to MD/DC/VA(/PA?/NC?) just to get together with them. You're also jealous of the guys that meet up at NAMM or AES as much as for the get togethers as the gear.
