Very possible. In fact it is done I'm sure thousands of times a day here in the US. You will need a ISDN line from your telephone company, and a compatible "codec". This is a box that hooks to the line(s) and encodes/decodes the digital signal from/to the line. There are a few different (and incompatible) types of codecs on the market. You will need to find out what type of box the other studio is using in order to be compatible. Here's a link to a company that specializes in just this sort of thing: http://www.digifon.com/Sales.html I have had good experiences with them. At the very least, you can get info on just about all the codecs available. Good Luck! Matt

Here's an article (with a bunch of links) from a year ago, about a group of people who has done what you are describing. I hope this helps. http://www.cim.mcgill.ca/~jer/projects/aes/ng.
In two days, it won't matter.
Originally posted by deepness71@aol.com: By the way hippie.... The link you posted was dead. Any chance of double checkin and posting it again? Thanx JLB
Try this: http://www.cim.mcgill.ca/~jer/projects/aes/ For whatever reason, you can't bounce right into the page with the tech. info., you gotta go to the project "home" page first. Sorry bout that. Matt [ 11-23-2001: Message edited by: Hippie ]
