That's some nice stuff. Geoff is one of my favorites, I've been listening to him since his second CD "Curveball" (Sunnyside) came out in 1989. He was 18 when he recorded it.

 

What would even make this more informative is if the examples were written out, at least a bar or two. I know the Giant Steps thing would be longer and require more work but I would buy the transcriptions if they were available.

 

In any case great examples and thanks Linwood. You always manage to dig this stuff up.

That's all great stuff. It's funny the first thing I think of when I'm watching it is 'I can do that'. He makes it look that blowing on Giant Steps look so easy. Sure it's easy...
