Synthoid
A friend of mine posted a video on YouTube. So far he hasn't told anyone else about it but me. Suddenly, the video has almost 30 views. If we're the only 2 people who know about it, and it's not being featured or promoted--we're curious how it's being discovered. Is there a "new uploaded video" section we don't know about? mate stubb
Did he tag the video with keywords? People can search based on those. Moe ---
Bridog6996
How many times have you and your friend watched it? Those count as views as well. Plus, people just randomly find stuff on Youtube. My YouTube Channel
Synthoid
How many times have you and your friend watched it? Not many times really. I was wondering though... how does a video move up the list? Is it by rating, or how many people have viewed? When an eel hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's a Moray. anderz
Videos eventually grow and get more views. There are people that have gotten 1,000 or more views without advertising or being featured. It's all in the title and tags. Stick it to the man. http://profile.ultimate-guitar.com/anderseb/ (Muh homepage of greatness)
d halfnote
I don't know much about YTube but on their standard homw page there are several things that might be pertinent. "Vids being watched now", "what's new" & for more regular or focused visitors, cutomization setups. Plus I imagine that clips, esp. when new, get some degree of monitoring for content, etc. There are even people attached to other media (talk shows, etc.) that do nothing but check the site (& others) for whatever might have comedic or other value for their use. d=halfnote
