The Geoff
Do you have to wear a Kilt? I guess it will camoflage. Rocky The 'Hunting' tartans were intended to be exactly that. They helped the wearer blend in against heather & bracken on a hillside. davio
........and very refreshing too!!!!!!!!!! No doubt! That was the first thing to strike me when I started piping back in 6th grade. Once you get used to it, putting on a pair of jeans feels quite restrictive. Of course, I've only had the opportunity to wear "the short thing the Victorians invented." DanYmaL X
TimR, GeoffB etc... how exactly does that work? If you are from Scotland and join the British Army, do you automatically get sent to a unit like the Scots Guards or do you have to get there by request, qualification, or some other such means? Her the only way something like that would work out is if you were to join the National Guard in your state. Then you belong both the the State government and the Federal government. I've met the owners before (my uncle used to be close with them when he lived in Seattle) and they're pretty industrious. I'm sure it would cost more though. Heh...I even have a bottle of "UtiliAle" that they had brewed for a special promotion or something probably around 7 years ago or so. DX There are regional regiments now - all the old famous names have been amalgamated into large-area representational regiments. You'd need to check the British Army on the web to list them.
