rizzo9247
The band is back together, so I needed another bass tuned to D, so here she is, a slightly beat up 2004 MIM Fender P Bass: http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r279/rizzo9247/full-4.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r279/rizzo9247/front-4.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r279/rizzo9247/pubridge.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r279/rizzo9247/back-5.jpg The highlights include a BadassII bridge, Seymour Duncan Quarter_Pounder PU. I have it strung with Rotosound Flats, (Steve Harris strings) which I found to have too much tension tuned to E, but feels just right in D. Carry on. jeremy c
So are you in 17 different bands and need a different bass for each one? Last night I played a whole set with my E string tuned down to D, just to keep things interesting. Free download of my cd!.
rizzo9247
So are you in 17 different bands and need a different bass for each one? Currently 3 in the stable, but the fretless bass stays home. The Stingray5 is tuned standard, this beat up puppy is down a whole step. And yes, you're tuned down to D to keep things interesting. Wally Malone
Tuning to D, that's why I own a Kubicki XFactor. Wally I have basses to play, places to be and good music to make!
Rocky McDougall
Interesting positioning of the bridge saddles. How is the intonnation? rizzo9247
Interesting positioning of the bridge saddles. How is the intonnation? Rocky It's actually spot on. I know it doesn't have the traditional top to bottom fade, but it works.
rizzo9247
One thing I forgot to mention, this bass is HEAVY. I don't have a scale in my house, but picking up my 5 String Stingray and this P-bass, the P-bass is noticeably heavier, I'm guessing 10-11lbs
Griffinator
you're noticeably heavier. (OH! He does it AGAIN!) A bunch of loud, obnoxious music I USED to make with friends.

So, if you figure by the pound you must have gotten a great deal. It's ugly, it's heavy, it's detuned, congratulations! Bottom End
Beautiful deal you got there. I have 4 basses, but I won't feel complete until I have a Pbass, and next year, I will have one. "Call me what instrument you will, though you can fret me, yet you cannot play upon me.'-Hamlet Guitar solos last 30 seconds, the bass line lasts for the whole song.
