And still he doesn't come to the UK. Whattsamatterwidyouguys? Allergic to mediocre cuisine and damp weather?

K, I hope that you are provided with a KB controller that doesn't aggravate the tendonitis.

Most importantly, that it allows you to really dial in sounds on the red one. Play with an unparalleled zest mayne. ;)

Kevin,

I was unaware that you have tendonitis issues. I certainly cant tell from your playing. :-)

I've just been diagnosed with early tendonitis in my right wrist. I'm wondering if you could relate your experience, treatments etc. with this. I'm really concerned at this point.

note: I did a search on tendonitis here and this is the only thread that popped up. It might make a good topic for a thread.

Thanks, Ed Wall

Jazz+ and I both suffer from it, although I suspect his may be more severe than mine. Mine encompasses most of both forearms to a certain degree. I have some muscles that are bundled up pretty badly that I have to rub out daily to keep them in check. They don't hurt, but when I don't rub them out, I feel it in my wrists and thumbs. I splinted my right arm for months when it first hit, basically taking it out of the splint to bathe and play gigs. I'd ice after gigs. I seriously revisited my technique, which is still not perfect, but is much more conducive to hand health. I quit using a mouse entirely, and I type with piano technique, which is also huge. I also have tried to revisit things like posture, which is also a big thing. I'm still not even close on that. Massage therapy helped some. I also swear by MSM as a supplement.

  • 2 weeks later...

One more gig. Thursday is going to be insane - gig at 11 pm, drive to the airport after the gig to catch a 7 am flight (the gig's a couple of hours from the airport), get home 5pm Friday.

Found a vid from one of the gigs earlier this month. The vid's not in sync, but.....

That video is killer - I'd love to see the rest of those tunes. And more gear porn. ;)

great honkey tonkin' on the ivories... or um, plastic. Regardless, sounded awesome as always. Comin' home soon eh? I guess that means you'll want your Hammond back, huh? Maybe I'll become very hard to reach for the next few weeks! :P
So I take it the XK3c has been fun?

it's been bittersweet. Work's been busy enough that I haven't dug as deep under the hood as I wanted to, but I've recorded it on a few tracks.... and loved every minute. I found myself trying to use it on everything. Do me a favor & next time you leave the country & decide to let me play with your toys, make sure I've got nothing else going on! :thu:

Yeah, it definitely is. I like the way it didn't take you long to get "jazzy" in your solo.
