Sven Golly
Had my package delivered to my day gig address... it arrived today at noon sharp. Talk about tough to focus on the job at hand... Haven't had any time tonight to do the install, but it's on my to-do list for tomorrow. For tonight, gonna fall asleep reading the manuals (yes, actual honest to goodness printed manuals with this stuff! Imagine! :-) ). Good luck with the remainder of the install, Dan... let us know how it goes. (oh, and Dan... regarding the tariff: you didn't pay sales tax nor shipping on the purchase if you got the same deal I did... so it's not such a bad price to pay, n'est-ce pas? )
Bobadohshe
For tonight, gonna fall asleep reading the manuals (yes, actual honest to goodness printed manuals with this stuff! Imagine! :-) ). Everytime I try and do that (I've tried, oh yes I've tried) I end up just going crazy and needing to fire the damn thing up to mess around with it. Doesn't work for me... I just stick the manuals under my pillow and learn via osmosis. And Sven, yeah, I noticed the lack of sales tax/shipping afterwards, but try and explain it to the wife, after she's had to put the charge on her card.... What we record in life, echoes in eternity. Let her know that the tariffs would have been 3x that much had you bought the software at the regular price... so you're saving her money. No? Yeah, I guess not. NewImprov
I deliberately didn't book anything today so I could devote it to the installs. I'm going in! She did admit it was a good deal, for something I didn't actually need.... Update: Finished loading the rest of the Kontakt libraries, and authorized it with the latest Service Center download. All went smoothly. This will take a while to explore..... What we record in life, echoes in eternity. DanS
I converted all my Gigastudio libraries into Kontakt format last night. I was pretty impressed with the speed in which it did all of this. Some of them do have a few velocity/dynamic issues, but overall, everything sounds spot on. There's my price of admission covered right there. Tascam who? What we record in life, echoes in eternity. Bobadohshe
I'm still at .01% on all of the NI stuff that I installed 3 weeks ago. There's so much to explore and life goes on! I need days and days to go through it all. Aidan
LOL yeah, I've barely glanced it at (beside using AP to record a couple of quick demos) since it arrived. Too busy trying to get a 68-page trade mag finished!
