Larryz Posted June 25, 2009 Share Posted June 25, 2009 I dig the transpose button on the keys, you can play in any key and you only have to know how to play in C...it's kinda like a cheeter bar (ie. capo) on a guitar..still have the old 88 keys but seldom play it anymore as I just love the guitar the best...but some day if my fingers can't hold down the strings I may fall back on the keys again...I like the straight piano, horns, strings and organ sounds the best...it can really add to the group and when I was playing I was more in demand as there are thousands of guitar players for every one keyboard player...My favorite sounds on the Piano Keys are in the runs found on Joe Cocker and old Elvis records..IMHO..plus you don't need a bass if you have a good keyboard player and your bass player wants to play a little six string, 12 string, sax or flute...
