Bert Smorgasbord's Excess Stationery

Aidan

Recommended Posts

We've had so many demo videos posted recently that I came up with my own, inspired by a trip to my local Staples. Bert, if you get to see this - sorry!

Aidan, please tell me that I'm seeing a reversed video image because when you play your upward arpeggios (arpeggia?) the video shows you moving down with your left hand and it's hurting my brain.

Funny video BTW :)

Instrumentation is meaningless - a song either stands on its own merit, or it requires bells and whistles to cover its lack of adequacy, much less quality. - kanker

I'm guessing everyone here knows that Aidan is satirizing Bert Smorenburg who is a Yamaha rep ... ?

Not a bad Dutch accent as well.

No guitarists were harmed during the making of this message.

In general, harmonic complexity is inversely proportional to the ratio between chording and non-chording instruments.

LOL sorry about that Zeph! I guess I thought most of us knew Bert round here - I can see how it might have looked like the work of a madman if... oh hang on...

Sold! :thu:

I'll take one hundred pounds (one hundred pieces, I should say).

Also... desperately looking forward to your next video direct from the fun-house.

Signed,

I kept seeing y'all talking about this Bert guy in other threads and then this, but I really don't know who he is. Aidan's video is kinda funny on its own merits, but probably much better if you know who Bert is.

Well done, you completely nailed the Bert sales pitch vibe

on a trivial item

I think Bert will be flattered

Have I just seen my future? As a Bert Smorenburg tribute act? Whoa, that's one narrow market...

there must be at least 150 of us Bert wannabees

thats 50 more folks than V-piano owners in 2009

I think you are on the right track !
