d halfnote
philidor, I will try it but what other things are around that are made of that material besides the ping pong balls. The balls are so small it will be difficult to get a flat shape...i will try it and warm up the material after i cut it out or maybe before... von Just checking out the PPPosts.... FWIW, the best way to get a flat result from something like this is to take two pieces & glue faces together. Youy'd never get a single piece to flatten. d=halfnote

Also nice sidebar on the plusses of fingerpicking and Jeff Beck. A lot of people assume that if you play with a pick, it MUST be for speed, which in my case is not true! A pick for me is a form of dynamic EQ - I can change my timbre based on where the pick hits the string, which pick I use, etc.
Dannyalcatraz
Agreed- I'm no speed demon, and I have a large and growing collection of picks. Each gives me a different advantage- some are super comfy for just strumming, others are optimized for speed. Others are made of materials that actually change my sound. Sturgeon's 2nd Law, a.k.a.
