Chad Thorne Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Good to see Peter Green looking with-it, smiling and relaxed in those later vids. God bless him. Gary Moore can wait in the car.
Mortal Engines Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 A friend of mine has some old Fleetwood Mac discs that he'll play at work and boy....some outstanding guitar work there....definitely up there with the other heavy blues greats of the late 60s....I understand at one time he gave up all his material possessions and joined a commune.
d halfnote Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 oh wow... it's gonna take me a while to check out all those links.... When you do , take them in order....there's a plot-line... d=halfnote
picker Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 ...I understand at one time he gave up all his material possessions and joined a commune. No, I think that was Jeremy Spencer, not Green. Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.
d halfnote Posted September 12, 2008 Author Posted September 12, 2008 Picker's right... ...PG did have some similar tendencies, though. At the height of F Mac's early fame he cut out, refused further income from his music & became a gravedigger (hence my notice about one of the vids). Currently he's returned to music...although when last I heard he'd remarked that "Les Pauls aren't really good for playing blues"; quite ironic considering the fame of his old guitar. d=halfnote
