Jeff_D_in_MD Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 So, I ordered this gig bag for my Nord Electro: http://www.audiomidi.com/GB61-Nord-Gig-Bag-P4921.aspx Notice how the image shows a RED product with the word NORD on it. The thing arrived today, does not have the word Nord, and has a distinctly PINK hue. Now I have to deal with the hassle of returning this one and waiting for another one to arrive from another store. I believe I am "man enough" to not be too concerned about a pinkish gig bag, but I am not such a wimp that I want to roll over for a product that is not as stated. Have other people successfully purchased the authentic NE61 gig bag on line? If so, where? Yamaha P2 acoustic, Yamaha P120 digital, Nord Electro 3HP, QSC K10. FOR SALE: Nord Electro 2-61.
AUSSIEKEYS Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 jeff you shouldnt have to put up with false advertising. the photos shows a genuine nord product[or at least branded nord and red]..thats what you should get nor should you have to wear the transport costs for return. there are laws for false or misleading advertising,. I could almost put up with a pink hue if it was actually the identical item otherwise in the photo.. but it is not...sometimes colour can be iffy on photos. the other thing to ask yourself is..is it well made and wioll do the job you want...and is the hassle just not worth the pain. if their own courier picks it up for free...but if you have to post it back...make sure somehow you are sure you dont get hit with the return costs.

You definitely don't want to roll over whilst carrying a pink bag

Jeff_D_in_MD Posted September 2, 2008 Author Posted September 2, 2008 This looks like the bag they sent me: http://www.zzounds.com/item--NORGB61 Not horrible, but definitely not what was advertised. Yamaha P2 acoustic, Yamaha P120 digital, Nord Electro 3HP, QSC K10. FOR SALE: Nord Electro 2-61.
Mark Schmieder Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I seriously doubt Clavia changed their spec. NovaMusik even uses the Nord bag as its "official" Prophet '08 gig bag! And it's VERY red. Or at least my NL3 bag was. It might be pink by now, after the transvestite stole it. Jeff_D_in_MD Posted September 2, 2008 Author Posted September 2, 2008 It looks more pink in actuality. Yamaha P2 acoustic, Yamaha P120 digital, Nord Electro 3HP, QSC K10. FOR SALE: Nord Electro 2-61.
AUSSIEKEYS Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 well good reason to say it wasnt as advertised...full return..all money back hope it goes well
Joe Muscara Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Jeff, Matching color in catalogs and on the web, especially with different monitors out there is next to impossible. My Nord 61 bag is not as red as the Electro itself, but I'd still say it's red. It does not have the word Nord on it, at least in big letters like the first link. I'd call up the seller first and see what they say. "I'm so crazy, I don't know this is impossible! Joe P Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Jeff, This is the bag I got with my Electro from Sweetwater: Sweetwater NE61 Bag It's furry on the inside and a very snug fit. More red than pink. Regards, Joe
Chris Link Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I wouldn't call it pink exactly, but my NE 73 gig bag is definitely not nearly as red as the old one I had for my NE 61. My guess is a poor color match by a manufacturer. Clavia probably could have sent them back because there's no way it's the same specs as the older version. aka âmisterdregsâ Nord Electro 5D 73 Yamaha P105 Kurzweil PC3LE7 Motion Sound KP200S Schimmel 6-10LE QSC CP-12 Westone AM Pro 30 IEMs Rolls PM55P
drawback Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I just got a NE61 with a gig bag and the bag is made of different material (kind of a rip-stop instead of cordura), slightly less darkness to the red, and it has rubber scuff-pads on the bottom. And it doesn't have a logo on it. Different manufacturer perhaps? ____________________________________ Rod Here for the gear.
Euntaek Kim Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 My NE73 gig bag arrives in around 2 weeks... And to hear it's PINK! Looking at the new pictures it does seem like the material has changed. It looks brighter and more shiny. Regards, Euntaek Kim
musicbysterling Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 The Clavia accessories are manufactured in China, probably at a factory that makes other products for different manufacturers, so problems like this are not surprising. That being said, Audiomidi orders them in, warehouses them and ships them out without opening the packages up. So give them a break, but demand a call tag so they pay shipping back. Ah, music," he said, wiping his eyes. "A magic beyond all we do here! J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Mark Schmieder Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Maybe they outsourced it to the Hello Kitty people?
