Sven Golly Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Mike Garson scares me... but in a very very good way.
Analogaddict Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I just wish they'd release a non-dongled version I could use in my Receptor. I've been wishing for (and e-mailing them about! ) this since I first got Ivory, and now that they finally release upright pianos, I can't use them..! The Steingraeber in NI:s Akoustic Piano is really nice though. I love that basic tone.
Joe Muscara Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I was pretty pissed when they switched to the dongle. I had to buy it to use Ivory under Leopard, but knock on wood I've had no problems with it so far. (After researching it, I think conceptually the dongle is a good idea, being able to have software installed anywhere and you plug in your dongle to use what you've paid for at whatever location you happen to be. But, the issue is the practicality and reliability of it. So far so good and I hope it stays that way.) For me, the issue with these uprights is another 50 GB. I'd have to put that on another drive. They sound great though, and if I ever have a need for them, I'll get them. "I'm so crazy, I don't know this is impossible!
