ferran rc
Has anyone tried the Tapco Mix /Mix Fx series? They are cheaper than Yamaha/Mackies with similar specifications (number of channels, inputs/outputs...) Do they have the same sound quality as, for example, the Yamaha MG series? (preamps, eq...) Thanks!!
bhodaway10
I'd love to know as well! They're super cheap and you usually get what you pay for but.....let me know as well! Mr. Nightime
Tapco is owned by the same group as Mackie, along with Alvarez, Ampeg, Crate, and others, so their quality should be pretty good. MoKen
I have the Mix60. I've only used it for a few months and only to mix the monitor signal with my keyboard signal for my IEM. So far it's been working great. It has some noise at higher volume settings but I guess most things do. It seems to be very sturdy. I guess one of the cons is that the power supply plug is proprietary, or at least not a common configuration. I've tested running a mic through it and that was good. FWIW... bhodaway10
I am going to post this on the other mixer post but gc has the dfx6 for $79 and the dfx 12 fir $99. I originally wanted the 12 but all they had left was the floor model. It was also pretty large anyways so I got a new 6. www.brianho.net http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/brianho www.youtube.com/brianhojazz
