Garth Henderson Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 This is my dream gigging and studio keyboard. I don't know why it isn't available. Let me know what you think - maybe we can encourage someone to make it. 2 keyboards in one unit. Total Weight: 29 pounds max. 44" X 15" X 7" Top keyboard is like Roland PCR-800 (good feel for synth and solid controllers with 61 keys) Bottom keyboard is 76 key weighted piano controller with good feel - but must be light. Similar to the Yamaha P85 @ 25 lbs. Of course, the controllers would work for both keyboards. I'd use a Muse or quad laptop for sounds and a loud killer stereo amp like the MotionSound KP-500SN. I want to make one trip from my car and set up in 3 minutes.
Tonysounds Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I want Carmen Electra, Angelina Jolie and Jenny McCarthy to alternately smother me in vanilla ice cream and hot fudge and lick me clean while wearing nothing but Crocs, but I dont see that happening in the near future either. Hitting "Play" does NOT constitute live performance. -Me.
Tonysounds Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Of course I meant that THEY would be wearing nothing but the Crocs (not me); I dont want you guys thinking Im some kind of perv. Hitting "Play" does NOT constitute live performance. -Me.
Joe Muscara Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Tony, come on! You're making me sick. I can't stand Crocs. "I'm so crazy, I don't know this is impossible! Hoo hoo!" - Daffy Duck "The good news is that once you start piano you never have to worry about getting laid again. More time to practice!" - MOI
Sven Golly Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I want to make one trip from my car and set up in 3 minutes. Get a roadie. Frankly, as much as your dream controller is a dream controller for you, I have no desire to have to jam a double-height and deeper keyboard into my car, thanks just the same. Also, when/if the top controller breaks a key, I don't want to have to give up my entire rig for service, thanks just the same. Oh, and I don't want synth action on the top, I want waterfall action... thanks just the same. (perhaps you've seen a glimpse as to some reasons why your dream controller isn't on the market... )
timwat Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Of course I meant that THEY would be wearing nothing but the Crocs (not me); I dont want you guys thinking Im some kind of perv. So you've got a jones for silicon, closed cell resin and other manufactured enhancements? ..
moj Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Not quite what you want, but Yamaha has the D-Deck. It's a combo organ/arranger. It's lightweight (40lbs). However, the sound engine is not motif quality. Inquire at a Yamaha dealer to see if it's available in the US. http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_url?doit=done&tt=url&intl=1&fr=bf-home&trurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yamaha.co.jp%2Fd-deck%2Findex.html&lp=ja_en&btnTrUrl=Translate http://www.yamaha.co.jp/d-deck/photo/images/photo_img03.jpg
mate stubb Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Build your own controller. I am. http://hotrodmotm.com/images/hammond/cases_039.jpg Moe ---

So you've got a jones for silicon, closed cell resin and other manufactured enhancements? Jenny, Angie and Carmen are not Siloconed....Jenny and Angie for sure are natural....don't ruin it for me! Hitting "Play" does NOT constitute live performance. -Me.
timwat Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Well, who am I to ruin someone else's fantasy? Although if I were I betting man, I think the spread on Garth's dream controller being made are shorter odds. ..
Tonysounds Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Neither one of those things is going to happen. It's called a sense of humor....look into it! Hitting "Play" does NOT constitute live performance. -Me.
