MoKen Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Anyone using this powered speaker? Any issues? Input appreciated. Thanks, Ken
TJ Cornish Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Any issues as in does it work? Yes, it works. Does it sound good? It doesn't have a particularly good reputation for good sound. Tapco is Mackie's cheapo brand.
MoKen Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 Thanks. I guess I should have been more specific. I'm looking for a reasonably good piano sound. My current Roland amp is very tinny in the upper end so I'll probably switch to a powered PA speaker soon. I know there is a powered speaker thread but the search function can't seem to find it.
ClavinovaGuy Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Here's the thread: https://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/1728681/page/6#Post1728681 I just ordered some FBT Maxx4A's yesterday. It was a toss-up between those and the EV SXA360's, but I found a deal on the FBT's, so I pulled the trigger.
bhodaway10 Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I've never heard the Tapco but they are very affordable. I would recommend trying them in person. I would compare the Tapco to the Eon's and the mackie 350/450 and the yamaha stagepass. I ended up going w/ the accugroove package because I found two on craigslist for a great price.
