daBowsa Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 ...and clean this graffiti off the wall! http://homepage.cs.uri.edu/student/schompb/files/sven2.jpg
ITGITC Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Mr. daBowsa, where'd ya find that gem? "Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent." - Victor Hugo
Sven Golly Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 D'oh! I have no idea what that is, or how it got there, your honor.
kanker. Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 miscreant A ROMpler is just a polyphonic turntable.
daBowsa Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 Uncasville, CT. Actually a pretty cool wall where all the Classic Albums Live groups that blow through the Wolf's Den leave their mark. http://homepage.cs.uri.edu/student/schompb/files/sven1.jpg
Sven Golly Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Yes, but we were not the first... I was merely following the lead of one of my idols, Mr. Payne (if daBowsa would be so kind as to post a closeup of the "Little Feat" section of the wall, you'll see my inspiration... )
daBowsa Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 Bah, I can't take anymore pics - that was last night and the pics I posted are from my cell phone so thats as hi-res/zoomed as they're going to get. Sven, we'll be at the Opera House this Tuesday if you're around/interested/in need of tickets. Let me know!
NoahZark Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 That Van Halen logo brings back memories of many notebooks that I had in high school. It's amazing how good you can get a drawing band logos when you're bored in class! Personal favorites from my high school days: Judas Priest, AC/DC, Scorpions, the "TS" logo for Twisted Sister, Ratt, and Iron Maiden (which I still draw when I'm bored!). Noah
NoahZark Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 P.S. Yes, I was quite the metalhead in the mid-80s.

That's okay, I think I've got pics of the same wall in high res back at home... I'll post'em in my defense later... Sven, we'll be at the Opera House this Tuesday if you're around/interested/in need of tickets. Let me know! Absolutely! Sorry, I don't know if we've ever talked about your project(s)... I see it's a Sublime tribute, and an opening act called Scotty Don't... although a Google seems to indicate it's the same band? I'm so confused... but I'm around. Check yer PM's.
Sven Golly Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Sven: Shame on you. What can I say, I was under the influence of a nice amount of The Macallan 12-year-old... gotta love those casino gigs when you can stagger back to the room after the post-gig party.

Badfish with Scotty Don't as the opener is a GREAT GREAT show! I checked it out early this year and then was double-booked with dabowsa and gang came back through my town a few weeks back. Check it out, by all means!
stepay Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 My band put our names on the wall at the Stagecoach BBQ 'N Blues restaurant in South Bloomfield, OH, but unfortunately it burned to the ground. Here's a story: http://www.dispatch.com/live/content/local_news/stories/2008/04/29/stagecoach.html Here's a picture of the wall in the background with all the names on it: http://soulcarnival.com/images/bruce%20at%20coach.jpg (not a band I know; just found it on Google). Mr. Nightime Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Sven Cooper, who knew? I thought it was Rob Golly. "In the beginning, Adam had the blues, 'cause he was lonesome. So God helped him and created woman. Now everybody's got the blues." Willie Dixon
