A new type of SPAM or a legitimate opportunity?

I received this email today (as apparently so did many others...the list of addresses was not hidden):

The dot-tv extension has become commonly recognizable and has become more popular than .com for videos and tv shows. There is only one .tv in any quality domain, and this name fits the bill. Doesn't look like a very unique opportunity to me.

There was some dweeb about four/five years ago who started buying up domain names (i.e. warrensapp.com, etc.) then offered to sell the domains to the players for a hefty markup. Most told him to stuff it (i.e. warrensapp99.com).

 

Sounds like a guy with a domain trying to make a quick buck.

Spam, though the idea is a nifty one.

 

MarloweDK is already doing this, and I love his site. I wonder if the venture has been a profitable one for him.
