stepay Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 First background info on why this interests me and then questions. 1) I graduated from Perrysburg High School and my inlaws still live there. High School friends there too. 2) My former band has played at the Fat Fish Blue in Cleveland, and it's a GREAT gig, so I'd love to get back to either the one in Cleveland with my current band OR better yet, play in Perrysburg for a change. Now the questions: Have any of you played at the Perrysburg Fat Fish Blue or know anyone who has? How does it compare to the Cleveland one (size, crowd, etc.)? Do they provide a band apartment for out-of-town bands like the Cleveland one does? Any other info would be appreciated. Thanks! Steve (Stevie Ray) "Do the chickens have large talons?"
stepay Posted August 27, 2008 Author Posted August 27, 2008 Oh well. I guess none of you regional blues musicians have played there yet. Not Kanker? Not Jim Alfredson? Oh well. Steve (Stevie Ray) "Do the chickens have large talons?"
Blue JC Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Stepay, It's a lot like the one in Cleveland with the addition of a comedy club (whose name escapes me.) I drove home after the gig so I can't say whether they have a band apartment or not. In the warm months, they have a lot more regional competition from Sandusky and Port Clinton than the Cleveland club. Everybody's got to believe in something. I believe I'll have another beer. W. C. I have a hard time imagining how a cajun-style blues music restaurant has anything to do with standup comedy, but whatever. I'll have to eat there when I'm up there visiting my in-laws next time. Small world!!! aL I know lots of people who went to Bowling Green High School and Bowling Green University. Here's a picture of me running a Cross Country meet on the Bowling Green University golf course circa fall 1984 (up the big hill you can see from I-75) - http://feat.putfile.com/profilepics/main/8/flagpolewilly-51340153645.jpg Steve (Stevie Ray) "Do the chickens have large talons?"
