Phil W Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 This was a fun gig. A little chaotic but chaos is good! The video just got uploaded for one of the medleys. The atmosphere is great. http://philwbass.com
Phil W Posted August 24, 2008 Author Posted August 24, 2008 The video is so out of sync with the audio. You get the idea though. Great clarinet solo near the end. That guy just turned up halfway through the gig and started playing, still don't even know his name. http://philwbass.com
EddiePlaysBass Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Love the groove, straight from the beginning This sort of music sounds familiar as we have an ever-growing Turkish and related community here in Belgium. Sadly, most of them are interested in playing rap songs only  "I'm a work in progress." Micky Barnes The Ross Brown Shirt World Tour
Mr. Bizarro Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Good stuff! Here's a tip: Try to eat everything. You'd be surprised how much is edible.
Rowbee Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Wow, that crowd was loving you guys. I agree, the groove was great and the vibe between band and audience was exactly what you want. Nice one. Now theres three of you in a band, youre like a proper band. Youre like the policemen.
kenfxj Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Very nice, Phil. Looks like it was a lot of fun. Push the button Frank.
Phil W Posted August 25, 2008 Author Posted August 25, 2008 It just shows you. The rehearsals were chaotic, most of the musicians and the bandleader herself didn't know the 'arrangements' or the structures. They got up on stage and played in different keys on the fly and even played songs I'd never heard before and I had to keep up. In this medley, hardly anyone knew what was going to happen next. But it worked! And you can't argue with an audience reaction like that. http://philwbass.com
