Bali Update-cool gig

I am back on Bali, after a few days on a semi-secluded island. Tonight I was going to get a room at the same place I stayed at before and somebody was layin it down on acoustic piano, really good. So I got the room and then went back to his place, I sat down in the front lobby and there was this Black fellow who said hello, welcome to the club, where are you from etc. I was about to ask him to bring me a beer and then I noticed the microphone in his hand-he was the lead singer! this guy worked the crowd like nobody's business, standing in the doorway dancing, singing and saying hello to passersby at the same time. The group was tight, accomplished-they burned through pop, jazz and blues with fluency and the pianist-whoa baby. He's like 19, from somewhere in Eastern Europe and a nice guy, we talked a bit after the set and I made sure the singer had my soundclick page.

I wouldn`t be crazy enough to get up there with that pianist-the bass player was burning up too. I`ve got enough unintended public humiliation in my life without walking up and asking to get supersized. But he did say we should keep in touch, I was going to go back and give them my email but things took a turn for the worse the next evening, didn`t get the chance. Anyway I wouldn`t mind going back there, we`ll see how it works out.
