webe123 Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Well I just pulled the trigger on a Mesa Boogie Lonestar classic 2x12 amp (used) and a TC Electronics NOVA system along with a Ernie Ball Volume pedal, a few weeks back, I also purchased a Paul Reed Smith Modern Eagle Private stock. That is going to calm my GAS at least for now.... Here are pics...I used ebay pics because I have not got in anything but the guitar, but I do not have my digital camera set up because I have just moved recently. Anyway...... Here is a link to the amp itself http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=150283470383&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=005 And a TC Electronics NOVA system is what I will be using for effects http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270264607231&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=017 And I will have a Ernie Ball Volume pedal to control the volume http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=280256283049&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=018 And this guitar is one I recently purchased and is fast becoming my No. 1 guitar (PRS Private Stock Modern eagle Matteo blue)(Just click on the picture to see more pictures of it.)(Just click on the pic for more pics of the guitar) http://168.144.173.112/p-150-sold-paul-reed-smith-modern-eagle-matteo-blue-private-stock-quilt-super-rare.aspx
Guitar Slinger Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Very nice set of new equipment man. You're going to love that stuff. I'd love to have that amp. My Blog about playing in a live band My MySpace
Bluesape Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 The axe is gorgeous! Never a DUH! moment! Well, almost never. OK, OK! Sometimes never!
webe123 Posted August 17, 2008 Author Posted August 17, 2008 Thanks. It is kind of a dream guitar for me.
Mortal Engines Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Yeah as much as I wanna hate digital effects (I spent a stupid amount of money on a Fulltone Tube Tape Echo) the TC electroncis stuff is pretty top notch as well. I bought a TC Vintage Delay (so I wouldn't have to take the Fulltone out all the time) and it sounds very nice. You will probably get alot of miles out of it.
Sauce Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Wow! That flame top is beautiful. Enjoy the amp and the rest of the stuff. The Nova stuff is supposed to be real good too. Then you'll never hear surf music again...
Caevan O'Shite Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 That's gotta be a really swell axe ya got there, webe'! Looks beautiful, and I bet it plays and sounds fantastic! Tell us more about how the guitar, amp, and effects all work and sound together, if you don't mind? webe123 Posted August 18, 2008 Author Posted August 18, 2008 Thanks for the kind words all. Yeah as soon as I get the stuff in, I would be glad to post back a tone report.
Bytored Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Nice quilt. What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it gives forth a sound It's got wires that vibrate, and give music What can this thing be that I found?
Terrell Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Nice Rig - You should be able to find tons of tones in that!
Greg B. Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 That PRS is absolutely stunning! Nice rig, webe! Avoid playing the amplifier at a volume setting high enough to produce a distorted sound through the speaker-Fender Guitar Course-1966
