JeffLearman Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 As I've told you before, I'm trying to help a local venue get their M2 worthy to play at jams. It needs some kind of Leslie, and I'm looking at a Pro-3T as the best bet for value. We can send the low channel from the Pro-3 to the mains. If there's no monitor other than through the Pro-3's horn, would that be tolerable, or would they also need a monitor foldback for the lows? It's possible, but it would just make stage setup trickier.
DaveMcM Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I would think hearing the upper rotor on stage and only hearing the lows coming out in front through the mains would be quite annoying for the player. Also, unless the Pro3 is being miked, the organ sound from the audience perspective is going to be horrible. Actually I am guessing that you do plan on miking the rotor, so at that point, if you don't want to have a proper set-up of rotor w/powered bass cabinet on stage, then why not place the Pro3 isolated off stage and send its miked signal along with the low rotor signal through the stage monitor? Bobadohshe Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 It's extremely annoying and would ruin a gigging experience in my opinion. Joe Muscara Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I tried it once, it was pretty useless. Even worse was that the PA was buzzing so one of the guitar players kept muting me between songs, leaving me with just the Pro 3X. Ugh. "I'm so crazy, I don't know this is impossible!
