Leberwurst
LB, that's good news! SK, I know I'm late, but I have to give you my sincere compliments for your "minor" piece. Simply the way you manage to establish such a groove in solo piano leaves me stunned. Way cool Quote The Dromb Bopper
Dave Horne
SK, your minor piece wasn't so minor after all. Very nice! Quote No guitarists were harmed during the making of this message. SK
Dave Horne and Leberwurst, thanks and glad you liked that. I'm thinking I might record this little tune with a trio. Sometimes it's the little, off the cuff ideas that work best. Quote CD: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/stevekessler
NYKeys
SK that was very cool and at 1:30 - 1:40 mark it almost sounded like you muted the strings of the piano. SK
Thanx NYKeys. I certainly could and should have played that tune a lot better, but it was brand new. I believe I did mute "the strings" with the soft pedal, or maybe I just played dynamically softer. Going OT now on this thread, I like this: Generally inspired playing throughout most of it and nice material to play over. Miguel Zenon on sax is burning. Sort of similar to my new tune, kind of "jazzical." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWlGw-sUxj4&feature=related It's good to actually listen to a little music too, with the music debates outside this room. vicsant
Hmm...the divshare site seems to be down? I keep getting a "404-Not found" error message when I click on the "download original"link. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
SK
I just tried and the site works fine for me, Vic. They have had some problems recently since they changed the look of the site. Some of the tunes links have expired. Which one were you trying to download? Quote CD: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/stevekessler

SK
The last one I posted opened for me just now. So I don't know, maybe try again in a few minutes. Quote CD: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/stevekessler
vicsant
Ok. The downloads seem to be working again. So back to the music. Btw, how long does divshare keep the files active?
SK
Btw, how long does divshare keep the files active? Supposedly forever, or until something on the site screws up. I noticed some older links from this thread don't work now. Quote CD: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/stevekessler

I just checked - all the links to tunes that I posted are now expired. Easy come, easy go.
SK
What a drag. Were they all divshare, Richard? I know divshare had a problem a while back and some files were lost. Most of mine weren't affected, as far as I know. Unfortunately, my first humble reharm is still there. marino
Just in case someone has tried the links to my contributions to the thread: They aren't on DivShare, but they might be down for other reasons. I asked a guy to help me improve the graphics on my site, and he made a mess of the layout I had set up. Hopefully, I will restore all my links in a few days/weeks. Just a thought. I haven't logged in for quite a few weeks, so maybe they thought it was ok to delete my files. I put some of them on my myspace page, so in case anyone's interested, they're there. SK
Good that you have them up on your myspace. No, what happened was divshare announced a couple months ago that they had problems and many files were lost. They've allegedly corrected it, but some of the ones that were lost have not been restored, and may not be. SK
Well, not really. But for a one time only, extreme departure from a lush Rhodes sound - I just kinda felt like it. I think I've posted enough 'pretty stuff' for a while. Just realized I did the last two songs, so I'll take a break if someone wants to add something. Dave Horne
I just got back from vacation and saw that this thread was placed somewhere in Utah ... so to speak. I was away for three weeks and it will take at least a week to be back in shape but I hope to add more to this most important thread. I will admit the Keytar thread is tempting though. So, where the f*** is everyone? Quote No guitarists were harmed during the making of this message. marino
Me, I'm busy as hell... but I will post something new soon. Btw Dave, the thread is now among the "Key Threads" in the stickies, so it will be easy to resurrect it everytime we need to do so.
