Tom717
Although Pete Townsend had an ARP 2500, I don't think that was used for Baba O'Riley...This, along with a couple other places, says it was just an organ he had at home: http://www.thewho.net/whotabs/equip-baba.htm
Zack Pomerleau
Herbie Hancock - Chameleon - 2 types of ARP, Rhodes, D6 Clavi Ray Manzarek - Vox Continental, Gibson G10 (Kalamazoo), Harpsichord (Touch Me, Love Me Two Times, etc), Hammond B3 (Wild Child, WASP (Texas Radio and The Big Beat), Changeling). The Who Baba O Reily is played on a Lowry Home Organ (LBO 1 I believe) with the Marimba Repeat On, then record with the tape running faster, then played back at a lower speed. The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again - Lowry Home Organ.

12fingers
You might be right about that. I had always thought he had used a step sequencer with the 2500. 12fingers
The bassline on Birdland is an Arp 2600. He used to have two of those beauties set up. Lucky man. Great player as well. kad
Duran Duran - Rio ?? Herbie Hancock -Rockit ?? I believe it's Fairlight for both Also, Oberheim Eight-Voice (SEM) for both Weather Report's "Birland" (main theme chords) and Lyle Mays on early Pat Metheny's albums. Hmmm, I thought Lyle used a 4-voice. In any case, it sure sounded great! I just love his work on the "First Circle" record. Reality is like the sun - you can block it out for a time but it ain't goin' away...
