Jode
I saw them this weekend, and it was a truly great rock show. Eric Bloom and Buck Dharma are the only original members left, but the supporting cast was top-notch. They've got some wunderkind drummer who sounds like Bonham meets Simon Phillips. Of course, the bass chair was the surprise of the night. I caught myself saying, "Who is that guy? He looks a little familiar, and he totally rocks." Bloom introduced him later: Rudy by-Gawd Sarzo! So what if it was at a casino. I haven't seen a harder rocking show in a long time. "I had to have something, and it wasn't there. I couldn't go down the street and buy it, so I built it." Tom Capasso
Glad you enjoyed the show !! Interesting since Sarzo's name recently came up in another thread. Cthulhu Fhtagn
Saw them a few months ago at a casino in Spokane. Also saw them in concernt ... about 1978-79 in the Bay Area. Admittedly, the Bay Area show was much better (with Eric wearing those lasers on his and and everything). Yes, they still put on a show. Compared with the "Guess Who" in concert many years ago in Hawaii (the Bassist being the only original member left).
