mro
In my possession I am storing my brother-in-laws 65 jazz bass at my house. It sits in it's case leaning against a wall. The strings are dead but tuned up still. It has been like this for years.Would the neck survive better with strings attached or not for a longer time period? Thanks all. jcadmus
If it's taking up too much space at your house, I'd be glad to "store" it for you. As long as you check it periodically and don't see any changes in the neck, it's probably fine as is. If you decide to loosen or take the strings off, you need to relieve the tension on the trussrod or the neck may warp.
