RufusPumble Posted August 27, 2007 Share Posted August 27, 2007 I have never played the model you are asking about, but I have played on two or three Ibanez basses in my day. The first was an old EX series four string. My current bass is an SR905 five string. I have always liked the neck that Ibanez has, particularly for rock music. Find someone or a store with one of these you want in it and play the thing before buying... Ultimately, it is YOUR choice. As for the amp... always a good move to have enough power. I have 350 watts and am looking at getting something larger! You can get a better tone if the amp can produce volume without having to push its limits... Sadly my friends came round for me as soon as I start to use it! I really like it. I was thinking of using my old purple jazz bass as a project to get to know about bass a bit better.
