I thought I would add something different to YCBs pages that you guys here might be intrested in especially if your into Funk Rock. History behind this song is that its by a band called Tut Tut and this was YCB before they became what they are today. Same people but only difference is the drummer and the vocalist. I think you'll enjoy this and Lily who was the vocalist at the time has such a unique voice so have a listen and enjoy :) If I

I've been participating in this forum for over a hundred years and just last night did I click on this thread. Can ya believe it? All I've got to say is WOW! You all are so talented. I listened with headphones last night to Yaca's bands and Schmee's stuff. WOW! Thank you. I like this music. It's inspirational - lots of good, fresh ideas on many different levels. I've been wanting to get into putting some of my ideas together into a coherent structure. This thread gives me some great examples to start from. Thanks everyone! Is There Gas In The Car?

I hope you share when you have your stuff done :) Looking forward to it. Schmee is certainly a talented guy and I love his stuff. The music is perfect in everywhere amd MOFO Hot as I say as a Funkhead and I certainly will be keeping an eye out and a ear open for that matter, to hearing more :thu:

If you get a chance check out: www.10lblibido.com There are some home recordings on there so the quality on some of them isn't the greatest, but the studio recordings are clear like a bell. Let me know what you think at realmonkeyfist@yahoo.com or at rick@10lblibido.com Hope you like it and I hear back from you soon...

It is a far better Butt Kicking than I have ever Butt Kicked.

Heres another Tut Tut track. I am thinking about releasing the Tut Tut stuff but what do you reckon? This one is a great Funk Rock track and a little explicit but none the less powerful vocals and a tight band behind the vocals of Lily! Enjoy. Here's a demo I did semi-recently. MIDI drums and bass because half of my equipment is in storage or at other peoples' houses. Vocal mic is actually a 99 cent computer mic. Computer recording makes anything possible, I suppose. http://www.asobrock.com/seankit/storyfull.mp3 Let me know what you think, all recording quality issues aside.

Great, really catchy tune. I can't wait to hear it recorded with a band. Should be cool. Keep it up!

A friend on another board composed a backing track and I added a guitar part to it on a guitar I designed and built as a jam... http://www.angelfire.com/ny5/boggs.com/Cyberjam/BeefandBoggs1.mp3 Here's another jam to a composition from another player with me on guitar. http://www.angelfire.com/ny5/boggs.com/Cyberjam/Boggs_and_Clav.mp3 My playing isn't anything to write home about, but it is a style I particularly like. I think you can tell from these two jams where a major musical interest lies... I hope you enjoy them. Makes me wish I was watching an aurora borealis... :D Boggs

>> OO Soul (reviews/schedules/etc) are nearing the release of their third albumn. bunch of working guys who have been getting down with long beach, california, since the late 90s. michael vasquez (drums/vocals/producer) and ian yater (guitar) sort of head up the group, but it's flavor comes from a wide array of talent - from the trumpet of hank ballard jr on their first album, to the keyboard stylings of dennis green, jack folks on sax & flute, bassist steve armstrong, percussionist troy howell, to local DJ legend gary tesch, their group has changed once in awhile since their inception but hovers around 8 and relies heavily on funk/latin/soul influences each member brings to the mix. while they calmed down in the early part of this decade, they are making quite the comeback with the release of "All Brothers, Different Mothers" last year (cuts available above in this thread), and their next album in mastering as we speak. i'll be sure to put a few of the new ones up as soon as i get hold of them. :thu:
