Jeff Klopmeyer
Anyone ever write haiku? I find it's fun to wedge your creativity into such a tight structure. It's kind of like an A&R guy telling you, "Play anything you want...but your tune has to end exactly at three minutes and four seconds, and it has to have two verses and three choruses, with a repeat at the end." Hey, wait...they do say that. Never mind. Anyway, here's a quicky that I'll whip out right now: The forums are slow; I sigh and sip my coffee while the page loads in Well, that sucked. But if you want a primer on how to do haiku, here's one: http://www.toyomasu.com/haiku/ Wanna give it a try? The first and third lines have five syllables each; the second, seven. Sometimes a 5/7/3 pattern is used, also. A haiku is meant to be elegant and insightful, a distillation of great wisdom into a very short verse - kind of a Japanese version of the fortune cookie. ;) Stylin' means "to wear fashionable clothing; to dress well." I don't understand that thread, either. Hasta pronto, Su amigo de Nueva Jersey [ 11-03-2001: Message edited by: dansouth@yahoo.com ]
