Zuben
Keep an look out for an 18 year old girl named Ashle Soular. I met her at a show we did over a year ago in New Mexico. She bugged everyone on the crew and every band member she could to get back stage so we let her back. It didn't hurt that she was a hottie. She asked to play a strat after sound check and we let her. WOAH! She laid down some great licks. She had been playing only 3 years. I got an email from her. She is on YouTube and Mypace with a couple of video clips of her playing. There is one of her HS Grad playing Europa. The girl rocks. With the right management and people behind her, she should do well. Dr. Ellwood
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Ash+Soular&search=Search Yeah, I dunno Zub, I guess it's one of those "ya had to be there?" things, I see she labels herself as a "lead guitarist" with a great passion for music! One of the comments on the site told her all she needs is a good studio and she will be a star... these days - they are probably right! http://www.thestringnetwork.com

Zuben
http://i4.tinypic.com/10emqzt.jpg I mean whats not to like? And she can play it. I need to find that link that she wails on. Watching it you can tell she is a natural. She hardly ever looks at the fret board. I head a version of Samba Pa Ti that she did an intro arrangement that was pretty decent. Remember, she is 18 and only has been playing for 3 years She might be all about herself but as a father and grand father, most 18 year olds are. She has a few things to back her up. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I am going to sign her to a recording contract on what I have heard, but I sure would keep a watch on her and give her some chances to play. She is playing leads that I had learned by rote at her age and you can tell she is playing by feel and instinct. Peace OK I admit it. I am a sucker for tall busty Latinos who can play the hell out of Santana. http://www.spotcheckbilly.com http://www.littlefeat.net http://www.bonnieraitt.com

mdrs
ellwood....I believe that most come with the pickguard on. Some, particularly those with fancy flamed tops, come without the pickguard. I got a P.T. signature Les Paul and the pickguard came, along with the mounting hardware, and screws. But, they were in a heavy brown envelope in the case, NOT installed on the axe. I've not sure how common this is, however. Don "There once was a note, Pure and Easy. Zuben
When I picked up my SG, they had 2 new LP's, Flametop with no pickgaurds. I just happened to notice as one was hanging next to a Custom with a guard. mdrs
I wonder how long it took to assure that the neck of the LP didn't obscure any cleavage? Just wonder'in........ Gruupi
Ashle Soular wasn't bad but not exiting. She might develop into something, she has some basic talent. You said you saw her live with a band Zuben, so that might be a much better setting than the home webcam clips I saw. Nori Bucci on the other hand is awesome, I tend to listen to her clips and think great guitar player, not great girl guitar player. I don't know if there is still a market for that kind of music but I would buy it. Ash has been at it 3. That is what impresses me. You can't put her down for marketing the "talents" she has. I would! Look how HEART was marketed when they came on the scene. I saw Fleetwood Mac in 79 and Stevie Nicks might has well been naked. All white shear flowing gown that was completely see though. I am also a big Santana fan. My early playing was very influenced by Santana. I can get pretty critical of guitarists covering Santana. She passes muster. Bytored
She's pretty good and yeah Doc great alignment. Hearing Samba Ti brought back some great memories of great friends and fun times of playing bass in a band in the early 90's, we played Santana (Europa, Samba Ti, Black magic Woman) and some Bob Marley tunes. Damn I miss those guys! Sorry for the hijack. Yes, Nice pair of guitars lol Nori can play that guitar!!!! I like her playing a lot, What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it gives forth a sound It's got wires that vibrate, and give music What can this thing be that I found?
