mdrs
LOL! DOC didn't get where he is today being stupid LOL!!! LOL!! Hopefully so!! This trend of producing a small number of replicas of famous guitars, then selling them at high prices is fascinating. They certainly seem to make a lot of money selling them!! Obviously dedicated fans of which ever rock star's replica, with coins to spare, are buying them. What's interesting to me is, that there is no real way to know if these guitars will hold their value. They have no reputation, no history of playability, nor tonal excellence. So, you wonder what will happen to their value in the future?? For me? No Thank You!! I'll pass. Don "There once was a note, Pure and Easy. Yeah...I get the same thoughts when see all the mania over the American Idol "stars". I know a lot of people watch it religiously (and other similar shows)...but from what I've seen...those singing/dancing "stars" are just mediocre replicas of the real thing...and yet the CROWDS GO WILD watching them... Why do people like watching mediocre singers dancers when they can just as easily watch real pros performing? Maybe it's just a new mindset...placing lots of value on things that really have little value. I know a lot of "shoppers" who are convinced that if they buy the $500 designer jeans...they are somehow better than the $30 Levis. miroslav - miroslavmusic.com "Just because it happened to you, it doesn't mean it's important."
