You've got more accounts than Bralalalalal and you pop up about as often.... hmmm, Caevan-Bralalalalala-Caevan-Bralalalalala-Shimlalalalala In any case, it's great to see you back on the boards!!!! what is this a reunion thread? hi James. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=193274 rock it, i will

TheRealShimSlady
Revo and James show up, too! Cool. (Glad to see EVERYONE here, 's'just I know they've been rarer than me here for a while!) Man, I've gotta sit dow at real-live get-together with a some of yez someday; two-pint maximum for myself, no holds barred on guitars! (By the way, VERY soon- probably later "tonight"- that's local, US Eastern Time "tonight"- I'll be back in my former account/display-name/etc., or whatever virtual guise it's taken-on since the UBB change here.) I've been playing around on an ancient Silvertone classical/nylon/guts-tring axe (older than me, anyways, which to some folks is plenty old enough) that's somewhat modeled to look more like a small-bodied vintage Martin steel-string) (weird concept, huh?), tuned to Open-G6 (4th-string tuned up to "E"). (D-G-E-G-B-D, low-to-high.) Too cool! Makes me wish I had an easy way to flit back and forth between "regular" Open-G and this G6 tuning; trying to aproximate the results with overly cogitated fingerings in either tuning gets tricky and doesn't always deliver the goods, and there are many times that the open string is the only way to go so it'd better be tuned to what you need! Knowwhatamean? I'm going to start a fresh-baked thread here on that if anybody wants to follow up on classicals, Open-G6, and the like...
fantasticsound
Yikes! Where the heck did you appear from, James?!? I'm beginning to get deja vu from about 2 - 3 years ago, when you and K seemed to be everywhere in the Guitar forum! Good to have you both back! It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Werewolf by Night
Tedster doesn't stop be here anymore. That moves you up a notch. Hmmn, something huffy happen? Or just a long-time, no-see scenario? Either way, that's too bad. I always really liked Tedster, and that's a notch I'd gladly be listed beneath. Maybe I should've called myself Ripped VanWinkel! Werewolf by Night
I don't know about here on the GPF, but I've kept in pretty regular contact with "Teahead"; he's a good friend and a rabid guitar-geek. Bluestrat ever come back from the honeymoon? (In a manner of speaking, I mean.) If not, I'm just glad that things kinda went his way there, with that young lady he met a while back. I haven't heard from him in quite a while... And, has FunkJazz turned up in the relative recent past? I lost touch with him; I know, I could use the search and user-list functions here, but since I'm here now... A String
We are all very worried about Bluestrat. There were some concerns over his new finance's ex. He mentioned that he had just met her and they were getting married, but the ex was crazy. Then, we never heard from him again. FJ turns up from time to time. fantasticsound
Ahh, Caevan... you could never fit in my shadow! You've just been away a long time! Our post counts were virtually identical until you lost contact with the imaginary world here. As for Ted, like A-string I talk to him from time to time on MySpace. The SSS was always his first love of forums so when he is online in a forum it's over at HC, I think. I haven't seen Funkjazz on the forum in what seems like forever, but I have his email. Maybe I should shoot him a "we miss you" e-card from the forum. Welcome back everybody! It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Werewolf by Night
Hey, James-Italy! Tha real McCoy! Hey Caev! Glad you're back! I'm buying an amp soon. Maybe we should chat at some point. Feel free to PM me if you want, just don't be upset if my getting on here and checking my messages is a lot more sporadic than it used to be! (I'm at the local Public Library right now.) (Had two jobs this past year that BOTH wound up laying off bunches of people, each right about the time I was feeling comfortable enough to spend money on an ISP and new virus protection and all that, not to mention gear and magazine subscriptions...) As for Bluestrat, I'll have to pour over the dusty contents of my old hard-drive and see just what my last exchange with him was; seems that I had goten a reply from him when I sent him an e-mail a good while back, mostly full of good news. Hehh-hehh... "El Guapo"! Likewise, a long while back I had several e-mail exchanges with FunkJazz, just before or maybe just after his moving, IIRC. He sent me some cool notation and an mp3 in the interest of illuminating classic Trad-Jazz ii-V-I moves for me (also still on the ol' hard-drive).
