There's another part of the story that's missing though - Brian McKnight not only stole the music from this song, but he stole the hook to Anytime from a song that appeared on an early 90's George Howard song Cross Your Mind from the album Do I Ever Cross Your Mind - not just the basic lyrics, but the melody too. George Howard - "Do I ever cross your mind Do you long to have me near to you Do I ever cross your mind Cause I long to have you here right nowwith me."
