Dr. Ellwood
Please take a look at this clip of Donna Austin, she is playing a Tele on the clip, when the camera pans back and she moves to another part of the stage there is a gold top semi-hollow body guitar on a stand behind her, what is that guitar? CLIP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EEli91dTzs it's about at 1:50 http://www.thestringnetwork.com
fantasticsound
Hey Lee.. Looks like it could be a PRS solid body or maybe a PRS McCarty hollowbody It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman Soundclick fntstcsnd
Dr. Ellwood
Thanks Neil, could it also be a Les Paul Signature? http://www.thestringnetwork.com

Dr. Ellwood
Is that lower bout shorter than the upper? http://www.thestringnetwork.com
Dr. Ellwood
Yeah! I think you guys are right! http://www.thestringnetwork.com
Trucks
I thought they looked the same... But its only on the screen for a couple of seconds.. and I cant bare to watch the video again. The second time you see it, the arse end looks a little larger than on most PRS's... So maybe you're right... Soundclick Myspace
Scott Fraser
For a brief moment I thought it might could be one of those lucite Armstrongs, but I couldn't tell if I was seeing a reflection or a distinctively shaped pickguard. Pretty low quality video, so who knows. Scott Fraser Scott Fraser

Yeah I hear ya!!lol ...but yes it does look a little rounder on the lower part of the body, I've got one of my PRS's next to the Signature and the signature is rounder on the bottom and the head stock is different of coarse, hummmm, and ok on the Dan Armstrong too, yes they had a smaller lower bout... but I think it is definately gold and not see through I'm pretty sure. But then again I don't think I see a switch on the upper bout like my Signature!! hummmm again..I'm still looking! http://www.thestringnetwork.com
fantasticsound
It looked pretty carved but I don't think it's a Les Paul Signature. I could be wrong. Certainly wouldn't be a first. It's such a low res image of the guitar I couldn't swear one way or the other. I can't even make out enough of the headstock shape to be certain it's not a Gibbie, but odds are it is one of the PRS' instruments. It's easiest to find me on Facebook. BillWelcome Home Studios
I'd say that you'll never know from that picture. I've got a Pellow that would look like a PRS in that situation. Warmoth makes a body shape similar to that. Know way to know, unless someone has better pictures or other knowledge. Bluesape
Looks like a Hamer to me. BTW - she's playing a G&L ASAT, not a Tele in the first clip. Never a DUH! moment! Well, almost never. OK, OK! Sometimes never!
otherstar
Is it the same guitar she's playing in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwb0t4I56Yo If so, I think it's a PRS, but the video's are so low-res it's hard to tell for sure. I think it's a G&L something-or-another instead of a Tele per this picture: http://www.musiciansgallery.com/start/strings/guitars/austin(donna).html Turn me over, I'm done on this side... PBBPaul
I'd say it's a Hamer. Definitely not a PRS. Our new and improved website Today's sample tune: Lonesome One
