Boggs
I probably put 6 hours into it this weekend adding and changing content. I would like to learn how to replace the photos with thumbnails so folks can call up larger versions directly... I still have to update the "What's Coming" page but I am cross-eyed at this time. Can anybody give me a clue how to be able to make the pics I have posted link to larger ones I have on my host site? A String
Put the "a href" tags, around the "img" tags. Have it link to a new page, with just the larger picture as it's content (and I always like to add a "back" link so folks can get back to the first page. Either that, or have the link open up a new window so the full image is like a pop up that you can close to return to the original screen.) PM me if you need any help with it. I'd be happy to help you out. Craig Stringnetwork on Facebook String Network Forum My Music
Boggs
Thanks, A String. I would prefer it open in a new window. Larger photos are on my host site where the 200 pixel wide photos are now. As you can see, I still have a lot of work to do identifying which I want to take the time to do this to, but I think it would be worth the effort. Does going to any of my pages and viewing source help you in any way see how I have it now so you could show me what I would need to add to point to the bigger picture in the host site? BTW, don't assume I know anything about what I am doing. I have no idea what the tag you mention means... I created this from a rudimentary page by looking at the code and the page and kind of feeling my way around as to what did what and added to it as time went on. A String
Best way to learn! For example, instead of having this: main_data/chassis.jpg for a picture, you would have this: main_data/chassis.jpg But replace "bigpic.html" with the name of the page that you are putting the larger picture on. Create one new page, for every large picture, then link to it using this method. Feel free to keep asking questions. We all started out knowing nothing about this and had to learn it somewhere. A String
Basically, there is the link for the picture: img="whatever.jpg" and it is nestled inside of the link tags: a href="link name" then "end a" (written as /a) Craig Stringnetwork on Facebook String Network Forum My Music
Boggs
Thanks, man... I will have to check this out when I get home as I am not allowed access to my host site when at work.
