Junior 1
Right now I'm really liking my Melody Maker, so tonight it's very single coil!
Gruupi
Single coil neck/ middle, humbucker bridge (coil tapped). Can't say I could live with just one, I need multiple tones. otherstar
Can I pass? I love all of 'em at different times. Some day's I want P-90's, some days the single coils, some days humbuckers. I really like my guitar with h/s/h (coil taps in a few of the positions on the 5-way switch) and a piezo...talk about variety! Turn me over, I'm done on this side... Kramer Ferrington III.
Yeah, I like all of them too. But there's so many single coils out there. Teles don't sound like strats. And P-90s are different again. My guitars have lipsticks on them, which are single coil. But once again, different. Dr. Ellwood
Ellood, How does that Strat sound? It is an interesting piece. Peace It sounds great! It's one of the main giggin' pieces. It sounds much like the other vintage Strats except it has a added dimension when you use both PU's ..it has a mid range punch that just soars! For instance on the lead for Fire by Hendrix, when you do that two string pull up at the beginning of the riff it just seems to take on a unwordly vibe that you don't experience (pun) with other Strats..that's about the only way I can describe it? http://www.thestringnetwork.com
