Belazaras
I´be been in this forum for years. I was discussing, asking, sharing with a lot of players but I never ask me if here are famous bass players, I mean famous those who tour, record with international frontmans/groups. jeremy c
Not me. The "name" people in this forum are generally not in "big time" groups. There are various people who are known in the bass community as being writers of bass books, builders of basses and bass equipment, performers of solo bass, and sidemen who are operating under the general radar of the so-called music industry. Once in a while someone whose name more people would recognize has dropped in here and then they go away (or maybe they are lurking). Free download of my cd!. Rocky McDougall
There may be more than we know or suspect. If I were a famous player, I would probably lurk some but not post. Why? I think that I would be afraid that everyone would expect too much from me. I would never want my opinion to be challanged. The most famous one I know is Jeremy. Rocky "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb, voting on what to eat for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb, contesting the vote." dcr
I'm famous, but not a famous bassist. So that doesn't really count. Actually, it doesn't count at all, since I'm not famous.

DavidMPires
There is some names. Tshaka, Steve Lawson, Stuart Clayton, Max Valentino. These are the ones I can remember. Oh and of course Jeremy! Does Ed counts? www.myspace.com/davidbassportugal "And then the magical unicorn will come prancing down the rainbow and we'll all join hands for a rousing chorus of Kumbaya." - by davio
Brocko777
I had an INFAMOUS stint as a Mexican movie star, does that count Rusty? Don't have a job you don't enjoy. picker
I was famous for 15 minutes, but not as a bass player. I doubt anyone would have heard of me. In fact, I don't think I ever heard of me. Hey, has anybody seen me? Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.

MoverDave
I have some fame in my genre. However, for all my credentials I am a get-by bassist, at best.
Eric VB
I think the reason the famous bassists don't hang out and post here is because they just don't have the time. I haven't been on JPJ's website in a while but I think he's only posted twice in the forums on his own site. When you're busy recording and touring that doesn't leave much time for internet forums. (Which explains why I'm here. )

...
Adrian Garcia. Brian Beller was here for a minute, wasn't he? How is Adrian? I haven't seen him post in a while. Anyone talk to him recently? Yeah... I know I could just email him but this is easier. Bryan Beller lurked here and at a few other bass forums when he worked for SWR. I haven't spoken to The Man in quite a while so I can't say if he does anymore now that he's being full time gigging musical ninja boy.
saxofunk
Mr. City, Adrian has his own thread TB that hasn't been touched since January. He has posted there since then, moreso than here at the LDLD. Probably best to email him. - Matt W.

jeremy c
Hey, Ricky! Ricky has made a bunch of albums with Liquid Soul and been written up in BP Magazine. He's way more famous than me and an excellent player as well as a nice guy....and very committed to the bass....ask him to show you his tattoos. I'm only famous on this forum. Most of the people on the street where I live don't even know who I am. Sometimes I wonder myself who I am. Free download of my cd!.

I haven't spoken to The Man in quite a while so I can't say if he does anymore now that he's being full time gigging musical ninja boy. Gosh....This is a really hard one. My close friend text messaged Adrian as of late. We play in the same Worship Team at church. This is the same church where I used to sub out some services I couldn't make to Adrian when he lived in South Florida. Jay said that Adrian is not doing that well, but he still has a great spirit. He is concerned mostly about his daughter. We have been praying for him, and you all know that Adrian has a great faith in God. Adrian, if you happen to read this, I love you and you continue to be a great inspiration to me.
