I think it's just the standard "my dog has fleas" tuning or G-C-E-A. It's been a while since I've had my Uke out but there are a bunch of "online tuners" that may help you out...

Go that way really fast.  If something gets in your way, turn.

"My dog has fleas" tuning??

Sure, just sing along with "my dog has fleas".... The notes in the tune are G, C, E, A... It's almost always the example people give when explaining how to tune a Uke. It's pretty goofy but I always remember it, so I guess it works...

Oh, and I'm glad the links helped, Chunk... I think I might just dig out my Uke and see if I remember how to play it, it's been awhile!

I guess I am unfamiliar with that song!

Hmmm..I wonder if they don't use it anymore...

Early on in grade school, they used to teach different instruments (back when I was a kid). The common ones were the recorder and the ukulele.

Every kid from the deep South of the U.S. to the far reaches of Northern Canada, learned to tune a ukulele, using the "My Dog Has Fleas" method.

Did they still teach ukulele when you went to school or were they teaching a different instrument?
