mdrs
Cool vid Zub... It'd be difficult to put more guitar talent on one stage!! Page was so into it, and actually played pretty well too!! LOL I'd like to have heard more from Eric and Jeff. BTW....that looked like Simon Phillips playing the drums...he played with Pete Townshend for a while....a great drummer. b3_john
Check out his posture, that 1275 is a BEAST to maneuver! I'm surprised Page hasn't had a half dozen back surgeries playing that thing! John GP sacred cow of the year: Jimmy Vaughan
vernplum
But what a desirable beast! I've always wanted a 1275 since the first time I saw the "Song Remains The Same" film. Now that Gibson has these Signature Editions out, I'm considering getting one of the VOS ones - only about $8K instead of the stratospherically priced Tom Murphy aged ones http://gitbuddy.wordpress.com
antimatter
That was the ARMS tour, a tour for Ronnie Lane from 1984. Each player did a set and then they all played together at the end. I saw it at MSG and it's still my favorite concert. I guess that was the first G3.
Danzilla
I wish I had my videotape of that concert ! I lent it to the guitarist in a band I was in about 12-13 years ago; then the band broke up and I never saw him again. Rich- where are ya? Oh well, at least I know I introduced one more person to the wonderful music of Jeff Beck. Now that I think of it, he's still got my cassette tape of "There & Back". Now I've got to hunt him down! If only I could remember his last name... "Am I enough of a freak to be worth paying to see?"- Separated Out (Marillion) NEW band Old band

Right up until the day I finally found one in a guitar shop. At the time I weighed maybe 120 (dripping wet), what surprised me most wasn't how heavy it was but how *unbalanced* the thing was. Until you've played one, its hard to have a true appreciation for they way Jimmy managed to sling that thing around on stage like it was any old Les Paul! He was really a trooper! vernplum
Oh I know. Impossible to play sitting down too - I once tried out some weird brand copy and it was truly awkward. But who said I wanted to play it? I just want to take it out now and again, admire it, caress, stroke and polish it, maybe sniff the case a little. I might even head to Louisville for a wedding, lol! http://gitbuddy.wordpress.com
s mel gibson1642606968
They are way too heavy and unwieldly but,...I want a double neck 6 and 4 string bass.
rw2003
If that double neck Gibson is heavy, what about this one? http://www.cheaptrick.com/images/guitar21.jpgRick Nielsen's '81 Orange Hamer 5 Neck "Spend all day doing nothing But we sure do it well" - Huck Johns from 'Oh Yeah' Click to Listen to Oh yeah
