Would you trade PRS for an H&K?

Hi all

Just wanted to get some feedback (eh) from some fellow guitarists. Would you trade a 2005 PRS 20th anniversary custom 22 artist with birds and rosewood headstock in excellent if not mint condition for a brand new Hughes and Kettner Mark II Triamp?

Thanks for your input

Nope, the H&K is more than $2K new. However, knowing how much PRS' cost, maybe his was more than that. I guess it all depends on your needs and the condition of both pieces. One of the forumites here had that amp and absolutely loved it.

Hi Guys

I bought the PRS at a price close to what new Triamps are going for. I don't play the PRS much, for fear of anything happening to it. I think I would play guitar more if I had a new amp. Its just that I would need a new bottom and I'd have to find a home for my boogie!

Guitars were made to be played... the PRS can take it, believe me.

I'd keep the PRS... it'll appreciate more/depreciate less than the amp, I would think.

....hmm, if the PRS is a valuable and fancy anniversary edition, and if you think its value will rise over the years, you might want to hold on to that axe.
