DanS
Just did a lunchtime runner with my bass player. He got a new Yammie TRB 5 string something or other, and I picked up a new Traynor K4. BluesKeys
Congrats Danny boy.. welcome to the world of ongoing GAS... Now we have to work on The Gas man himself. After he made such a splash with the desire for the RED board he is backing down from the idea. He has a big mean woman at home that scares him. hehe Jimmy Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others. ITGITC
Jimmy, These things take time and must be handled with extreme care. You've been over to my place and seen my toys. I think that you'll agree that before I buy anything, I've got to make some room available. And regarding the "big mean woman at home that scares him" remark... You don't need reminding that North Carolina has an Equitable Distribution Act which means that an equal division of the marital property is mandatory and a distribution is not subject to reversal on appeal unless the court abused its sound discretion. In other words, if I buy that RED board, and then somehow screw up, SHE GETS HALF. If my math is correct, that's 36.5 keys. Because you're my friend, I'll keep that remark about "big" and "mean" just between us. I know you were kidding. But if she happens to read this SHE WILL KICK YOUR ASS TO MYRTLE BEACH AND BACK. And you wouldn't want our forumite friends to find out you've been smacked up side the head by a 5'5" 110 lb. lady, would you? I didn't think so. And just for that... YOU are buying the beer tonight. Joe P
While I would have liked to have put mine (oops, I mean "ours") into my XK3 fund, I instead used it toward the mortgage. Damn. Knocked 5 months off the term of the loan, though. Dan, What problems did you have with your KC350 (I have the same amp...)? Regards, Joe

I like to have things line up about even, if I can. My weekend gigging has unfortunately led to me owing money the past few years, but I'm not complaining too much. Moonglow
I actually have a rather nice return headed my way for once.....it seems I usually break even or owe slightly. However, with the relatively recent acquisition of a Nord Stage and RP-X, it comes at the rare moment when I am very content with my rig(s). So no GAS.........although that four-voice synth with those cool blue lights would look mighty nice in my music room! Joe P
NICE! Continuously Variable Trans? I borrow my father-in-law's Deere. Gang mower??!! I am jealous. I got a 3 acre horse field that I do with a Brush Hog and a big Deere (750). Takes two and a half hours, and it may be in my future this weekend. Gotta get some horses boarding so they can eat the stuff. You know, you can get a little comfort fan for your Deere, and a canopy. Deere makes nice machines. A riding mower is on the top of my GAS list for non-music stuff. I've been pushing for nearly 15 years now and it takes forever with all the grass I have. I let the grass go to moss for a number of years, but the wife has gotten me back into keeping it up. A lawn is a vicious cycle...you spent precious time and lots of money in the fall aerating it, seeding it, fertilizing it. Then you hope for plenty of rain. The grass grows and you spend all your free time mowing it. Then it turns dry in the summer and half the grass dies, unless you're lucky enough to have irrigation or can keep up with dragging hoses around the yard. Then you start over again in the fall. But I'm getting me one of those lawn tractors one of these days!

The Real MC
Yes, variable hydrostatic transmission. I prefer standard but I can get used to this. Mowed the grass today, it was getting high. Just the front lawn, then dusk set in. That tractor was a good investment, did a good job. Without that ganged mower set, I estimate it would take nine hours to cut two acres, that mower set should reduce that by 1/3. I don't want to spend my entire weekend mowing lawn. I hoped to find a used John Deere but only a narrow range of models fit my needs. I was having zero luck - they don't come up for sale often and when they are for sale they are gone fast. So I opted for a new tractor.

The keyboard rig is all set for the moment, but I still have more GAS than that. Sounds like you guys have some nice spreads! You make me feel real good about how much time and money I don't spend on the lawn. I love beef. I'm sure it's why space aliens steal cows.
