Thank you to those who responded with sincerity.

To the others, I've been kicked enough, time to stop.

It was a stupid set of questions, won't happen again.

We're just having a laugh Bren, tis all in good fun. You must be new :D .

As for my two cents, honestly, what you really need to do is go to your local music store which has some real keyboards on the floor, talk to the sales guys and try them out. You'll find some keyboards will leap out at you, while some won't feel all that inspiring. THAT'S how you figure out what to buy. 'Best' is very subjective.

In MY experience, having owned and gigged with them, the Kurzweil PC2x and the Roland RD-300SX just don't do it for me sound-wise, despite their nifty features. My rather inexpensive Yamaha MO8 does :D , so now I seem to be a Yamaha guy.

Hello all....

Performance

Progamming / Editing Sounds

Best overall individual sound (violin sounds like a violin etc)

Connectivity with computer

....

Too easy -

Performance = tie: Kurzweil K2600/Alesis Andromeda

Programming / Editing sounds = tie: Clavia G2/Alesis Andromeda

Best overall individual sound: although I haven't even heard either yet, I have no doubt that it will be a tie between the Yamaha Motif XS and Kurzweil PC3.

Connectivity with computer: Access Virus TI.

Next question please. :blah:
