Michael Patrick
I'll wait until they come out with the "relic" model.... miroslav
Just recently I got a little "gassy" over guitar straps! I wanted to get a couple of new ones to go with my two new Hagstrom guitars...and next thing I know...I ended up buying like 20 new straps!!! I had a pile of those very basic, kinda thin weave nylon strapsthe plain-Jane stuff. When I saw themI totally fell in love with the new Planet Waves straps...the ones that use a tubular nylon weave and then they have a separate design layer on top. Now I have just about every one from their "World Collection"...plus a few from some of the others...and I also have a few of the signature designs, the Satriani "snakes" strap...and two of the Jerry Garcia (although they are not the tubular nylon weavebut still real nice). The Planet Waves tubular nylon weave makes the strap SOOOOOOO!!! comfy on your shoulder...much better than any of the stiff single weave straps. Plus, the artwork/designs are absolutely killer on most of them. The only thing thats a bit if a PITAare the leather ends. They are made to hold up to 80lbs I believe but MAN!!!...are they tough to put on over the strap button! The plus side is that they are not like to come off anytime soon (no chance for any accidents)!!! Anyway...I never thought I would drop $250-$300 on just straps (at least not all in one shot)!!! I think I'm good now...the strap gas has passed. Anyone need a plain-Jane nylon strap...I have several colors? miroslav - miroslavmusic.com "Just because it happened to you, it doesn't mean it's important." Gruupi
You are out of line 'Zan. You just bought a new SG, the rule is on new guitars is that you aren't allowed to have GAS for 10 days. I am sending the GAS police out to look for you. miroslav
for some reason i only have one strap. Yeah...I use to also think that for the studio...that just one would do, as I can only play one guitar at a time. But it got to be a PITA always having to remove the strap from one guitar to another....so I bought a few more plain-Jane nylon straps. Then when I saw some of these Planet Waves straps, I looked at the straps as more than just a device to hold the guitar around my neck....and I fell in love with the strap designs, and realized that a particular strap design could be used to complement a particular guitar. After I bought a couple of them...the next day I just went nuts and got one for every guitar, and now the strap are displayed across the front of the guitars as they all hang on my wall...and not pushed behind the guitar like I use to do with the plain-Jane straps. I must say...they are quite stunning and add something to the overall look of the guitars. miroslav - miroslavmusic.com "Just because it happened to you, it doesn't mean it's important."
