Greg B.
Ten Good Reasons Why Guitars Are Better Than Girlfriends 1. You can pick up any cheap one without catching something. 2. You can fall in love with an old one and no one will mention your mother. 3. You can play a really, really big one and still get respect. 4. When you take one out after a long time it looks and sounds better than ever. 5. They never complain, no matter how many of them you have. 6. You can try lots of different kinds of them without seeming shallow. 7. They wear whatever you buy for them. 8. Being called a "Player" is a compliment. 9. Your guitar won't hate your friend just because his guitar is prettier. 10. When you get old, you won't need to compensate with newer and newer guitars. revolead
17. When the g-string becomes worn out and starts to get a bunch of crud on it, you can change it out for a new one without needing her consent. 18. Your guitar won't get jealous when you take her out in public and women start hitting on you. 19. The only binding contract between you and your guitar is the manufacturer's certificate she came with. 20. If you have too many on display in the living room already, and you run out of space for a new one, the others won't complain when you place them in a case and lock them in the closet. 21. You don't have to shower before you play your guitar. 22. Playing your guitar without protection doesn't result in unwanted guitars. 23. If you have gas while you play your guitar, chances are it's about something she'll be able to appreciate. 24. You can play your guitar in places like church, school, and at the department of motor vehicles. 25. Your guitar doesn't complain if you spend several hours at the guitar shop. Shut up and play. You can turn her knobs and flick her switch all day and night until you like it. 28. If she's flat, nothing a quick pinch won't cure. picker
22. Playing your guitar without protection doesn't result in unwanted guitars. I am not sure this is a plus...I have no unwanted guitars, and I only wish playing my guitars would result in more of them just happening along every nine moths or so... Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.
fantasticsound
I'm waiting to see if our few resident female players throw this back at us with a woman's perspective. I don't mean they'll necessarily be offended by the above comments. Rather I expect they'll have some comments in turnabout on the subject. It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Eric Iverson
Do you THINK?? I work in an office of several women with one other guy, and though I don't try to get involved in their private conversations, they clearly are quite ready, willing and able to engage in "turnabout is fair play" commentary. Greg B.
I saw this on a t-shirt yesterday and thought that it was funny. There are quite a few good ones posted by others. I didn't really think too much about a females point of view on this, so if ladies have any you want to share, by all means, post 'em up! As Eric said, "turnabout is fair play"! revolead
Oh, well, I just made mine up on the spot. Anyway, they were all in good fun, and any females who may be lurking should know we all have much more respect for them than that. Shut up and play.
