Magpel
Either for a minor release of GAS or for more legitimate musical reasons, I'm sorta thinking about planning on trying to be in the market for another softsynth. A lot has happened since i last made the rounds. I was thinking I wanted something with some real timbral range--maybe a big sample player with extensive programming, like Dimension Pro, or maybe a big multimode synth like Zebra 2. I'm not in the market for a simple subtractive synth--or at least wasn't until I tried the Sylenth 1 demo--Wow, what surprising present, "real" sound comes from this thing. I remember being similarly impressed with the raw sound quality of the Minimonta demo--have to go get the one again and comapre. Anyway, I don't love the sylenth1 interface, and the functinality is nothing to squeal about, esp. at a price approaching 200 bucks, for "just another" simple subtractive with a very basic set of modulation sources and destinations But I highly recommend that you discerning synth guys check out the demo and see of you're as impressed with the essential sound as I am. kanker.
Zebra 2. MMMM.... This is what I call the end all be all. A ROMpler is just a polyphonic turntable.
